Celebrate the colors of autumn while exploring the vibrant and versatile world of Inktense on fabric! In this hands-on workshop, you will learn essential techniques for applying, blending, and layering Inktense colors while gaining confidence in controlling color movement and bleeding on fabric.

Using a charming fall-themed design featuring pumpkins and leaves, you will create a beautiful and colorful pillow cover that captures the warmth and richness of the season. Whether you are new to Inktense or an experienced fiber artist looking to expand your mixed-media skills, this workshop provides a creative and supportive space to explore, experiment, and have fun.

By the end of class, you will have a completed Fall Pillow Cover showcasing your own artistic interpretation and newly developed Inktense techniques.

• Beginners and advanced fiber artists and quilters are welcome.

• No drawing skills are needed.

• A supply list will be provided.

• The fall pumpkin and leaf pattern will be provided at the time of class.

Beginning Thread Painting Class
Duration: 6 hours Enhance your artistic skills by exploring thread painting! In this course, you will learn the basic techniques for creating quality thread paintings. You will learn the settings on your machine for free motion, how to fix basic tension problems, and how to prevent puckering. We will practice free motion and thread painting skills before embarking on the flower. Circles often present the most challenges, so we'll begin by focusing on mastering this technique first. I'll also show you easy ways to create patterns without needing to know how to draw!

Duration: 6 hours Take your thread painting skills to the next level! In this intermediate course, you’ll explore techniques for blending colors and creating stunning textures with thread. For those who are comfortable with the free-motion movement. (Does not have to be perfect or have taken the beginning thread painting class.)

  • I offer inspiring trunk shows, color presentations, and hands-on textile-art workshops featuring colored pencils, Inktense, watercolor pencils, crayons, and thread painting on fabric. Programs may be offered in person or virtually, depending on the program and your guild’s needs.

  • Absolutely! Beginners and experienced artists are welcome. I teach each technique step by step in a supportive environment where questions, experimentation, and imperfect stitches are all part of learning. No drawing experience is needed for many of my workshops.

  • Tell me a little about your members, their interests, and the amount of time you have available. I’ll be happy to help you choose a program that will be engaging, encouraging, and enjoyable for your group.

  • My workshops are about more than following a pattern. I want each participant to understand the techniques, grow in confidence, and discover new ways to express their own artistic voice through fabric, color, and stitch.

  • Trunk shows and color presentations begin at $350, and workshops range from $350–$700. If programs are scheduled together, a $50 discount may apply. Once we discuss your guild’s plans, I’ll provide clear pricing and all the details you need.
